For your benefit and ours, the following “Scope of Work” lists the duties and responsibilities for both parties involved. It can be beneficial in fabricating and installing your foundation, avoiding mistakes and omissions, and enabling us to complete the job on time and at the price we have agreed upon. SUPERIOR WALLS BY COLLIER FOUNDATION SYSTEMS, INC. DOES NOT AND WILL NOT DESIGN OR ENGINEER YOUR FOUNDATION PLANS OR SHEAR WALLS FOR YOUR FOUNDATION. ANY REQUIRED ENGINEERING CAN BE PROVIDED THRU SUPERIOR WALLS BY COLLIER FOUNDATION SYSTEMS, INC. BY A THIRD PARTY ENGINEER FAMILIAR WITH SUPERIOR WALLS, AT AN ADDITIONAL COST TO BUYER.

Signature confirms: the accuracy of the drawings submitted by the Buyer to the Seller, including all locations of ANY point loading; the accuracy of the drawings submitted by the Seller to be produced for the Buyer; the drawings submitted by the Seller have been checked and approved by the Buyer as drawn, and that all dimensions and objects have been properly located; the drawings submitted by the Seller accommodate all point loading provided by the Buyer; that the Buyer has received the Builder Guideline Booklet and agrees to follow the standards described there in. SUPERIOR WALLS BY COLLIER FOUNDATION SYSTEMS, INC. WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ERRORS WITH ANY DRAWINGS, ONCE REVIEWED AND SIGNED BY THE BUYER.

Superior Walls By Collier Foundation Systems, Inc. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Fabrication of shop drawings and contracts, as per your plans.
2. Engineered stamped Superior Walls foundation plan when/if needed by buyer. (based on Pre-Engineered Specifications only)
3. Engineered stamped Superior Walls foundation plan and specifications if provided by third party engineer. (Project Specific)
4. Final grade of 1/2" CLEAN CRUSHED LIMESTONE.
5. Compaction of top 6” layer of 1/2" CLEAN CRUSHED LIMESTONE.
6. Manufacturing of Superior Walls panels for your job site based on approved shop drawings.
7. Installation of Superior Walls panels on your job site.

Customer Duties and Responsibilities:

PRE-INSTALLATION:
1. Review shop drawings provided and confirm the accuracy of shop drawings.
2. Approval of shop drawings, contract, “Standard Terms and Conditions”, and “Scope of Work”.
3. Read and Review the Superior Walls Builder Guideline Booklet.
4. Provide adequate work area clear of wires, trees and accessible for tractor, trailer and crane to install panels in a safe and proper manor.
5. To establish a minimum of 2 -6 corner pins that accurately defines foundation position.
6. To supply the necessary stone footer consisting of 1/2" CLEAN CRUSHED LIMESTONE.
7. Depth of Stone footer to be determined by site conditions and in accordance with the Builder Guideline Booklet. Tamp every 6" - 8".
8. The base of the stone footer must be below local frost line and only on virgin soil or engineered fill.
9. To provide French Drains in accordance with the Builder Guideline booklet.
10. Stone footer must be leveled to within +/- 1 inch. Any variance may result in back charges.
11. To over-dig excavation a minimum of 24” on all sides for access to properly seal wall joints.
12. To protect excavation area in compliance with local codes.
13. All dewatering must be done before scheduled time of installation.
14. Minimum of 4 - scrap 2 X 8’s 10' - 12' in length required on job for bracing of foundation.
15. Crane pad to be located for ease of set 30’ X 30’ level area required.
16. Provide equipment to assist with entering/exiting job site. Must be a track machine (Ex: 30,000 lb D-4).
17. If applicable, winter site preparation before panels are set.

POST-INSTALLATION:
1. Beginning framing on foundation constitutes accepting foundation as is.
2. Bolt 2"x10" sill plate to the wall with ½” x 5-½" tap bolts per Builder Guideline Booklet.
3. Pour slab in floor ensuring walls are braced to maintain plum status per Builder Guideline Booklet.
4. Attach sub floor to wall with modular straps, toe nailing, welding or bracing per Builder Guideline Booklet.
5. Add bracing and blocking when sub-floor trusses run parallel to wall per Builder Guideline Booklet.
6. Install shear walls where needed per the Builder Guideline Booklet and your engineer.
7. DO NOT BACKFILL YOUR FOUNDATION UNTIL ITEMS 1-6 ARE COMPLETE!!
8. Backfill with minimum of 50% stone. Leave top 6” of wall exposed and slope ground from building per Builder Guideline Booklet.
9. Never drive heavy equipment within 5’ of wall.

Please Note: If the project requires additional site preparation. Buyer will pay (direct/back charge) all equipment, subcontractor costs, and labor charges at the following rates:
Supervisor -$40.00 per hour     Foreman -$35.00 per hour     Labor -$30.00 per hour
Crane -$140.00 per hour     Freight -$75.00 per hour     Service Truck -$100.00 per day

Beginning framing on foundation constitutes accepting foundation as is.

All work is to be completed according to the latest Superior Walls of America, Ltd. Specifications.
These procedures are specified in the Builder Guideline Booklet. If these items are not completed, extensive and expensive repairs will occur, and the warranty will be voided.
